From the Associated Press: Klein, Holmes Still Working on Wedding NEW YORK - Popping the question was the easy part for actor Chris Klein. Trying to set a date for his wedding to Katie Holmes is a lot more difficult. Klein, 25, star of the "American Pie" films, proposed to the former "Dawson's Creek" star last December. But the two are often apart for long stretches at time. Right now, he's on the road promoting his upcoming movie "The United States of Leland" and she's filming the new "Batman" movie. They haven't set the date yet. Not that he thinks his situation is any worse than anyone else's. "I really think it's inappropriate to say that our stress and our particular relationship difficulties are any different from anybody else," he told AP Radio recently in Washington. "I'm a young man, she's a young woman, all the problems of young Americans come into play and that's the way it is regardless of profession." Klein said like a typical guy he's leaving all the wedding plans to Holmes. They couple has been together for five years, and he sees marriage as the next step. "As you grow up in your life your relationships grow and mature, that's the next step," he said. "Not because it has to be, but because it's the next thing that should happen in order for us to grow and be together." |
