From Variety: John Davis, set to bring four movies to theaters this summer, including Will SmithWill Smith starrer "I, Robot," will be honored as producer of the year at ShoWest 2004. Davis, whose Davis Entertainment is one of the most prolific producers of big-budget movies and telefilms, will be feted at a closing-night awards gala on March 25. ShoWest begins March 22 at the Paris and Bally's hotels in Las Vegas. "John Davis continues to be one of the most accomplished and flourishing producers in Hollywood," said Mitch Neuhauser, co-managing director of ShoWest. "We are pleased to honor John for his current and past work and for his incomparable talent for producing great motion pictures." Also set for the summer are "Garfield," voiced by Bill Murray; youth drama "First Daughter," starring Katie Holmes; and "Alien vs. Predator," an action thriller combining two classic movie franchises. Davis Entertainment's recent TV productions include "The Jesse Ventura Story" and "Little Richard" for NBC and "Miracle at Midnight" for ABC.
