As most of you know by now, First Daughter and the Mandy Moore film Chasing Liberty are both scheduled to open in the first week of January, 2004. The plots for both movies are strikingly similar, so it will be interesting to watch what both studios do with their respective projects. What's frustrating for Katie fans is that Chasing Liberty has gotten the jump promoting their movie with the release of its trailer and the movies poster: Thanks to JoBlo.com Chasing Liberty Trailer: Click here So one has to ask, when is the promotion for First Daughter going to start? Are they waiting for Pieces of April to run it's course before starting to promote another Katie movie? Or perhaps they have blinked and are moving the opening date? I noticed whenever I would check the First Daughter link at the Fox Movies page, near the top they would have listed it's January 9th, 2004 opening date. Now all it says is "Coming Soon" (look here). I don't know...I just have a feeling that Fox is going to move the release date to later in 2004. I could be wrong, but we need to start seeing some promotion for this movie Fox. And soon...
