I don't think I posted this interview before, even though many of the questions/answers appear very familiar lol: Pieces of Katie Holmes Best known for her role as Joey on TV’s “Dawson’s Creek”, Katie Holmes has traded in her small screen innocence for April Burns, a rebellious young woman who has never been on good terms with her mother, Joy (Patricia Clarkson). Living in a walk-up flat on the Lower East Side of Manhattan with her boyfriend, Bobby (Derek Luke), April in a burst of goodwill, volunteers to host her family for Thanksgiving. As if preparing a feast isn’t daunting enough for the cooking-challenged April, she discovers her oven doesn’t work and has to search her building for one that does. In doing so, April meets an eclectic array of neighbors, one being Wayne played with comical vulnerability by "Will & Grace’s" Sean Hayes. What drew you to Pieces of April and when you go see movies, what do you personally look for in movie? I always love a good story. I like movies that make me feel, movies that make me think and I like movies that have hope and I feel that this movie has a lot of hope at the end. I think there’s a lot going on in almost every scene so it keeps me captured. That’s what I look for in a movie. I’m not one of these people who don’t like special effects, because I do like all the different facets of filmmaking. Click here to read the rest of the interview Thought I'd update everyone with Katie's upcoming televison appearances. I don't think I've said much about Vogue Fashion Superstars which is airing on VH1 starting on November 15th. Here is the description of Katie's segment c/o the VH1 website: *Katie Holmes is one of today’s brightest stars. Having gone from hometown Toledo girl to WB beauty, Katie will live out the ultimate fashion fantasy: having hot designer Caroline Herrera style her from head to toe in preparation for the premiere of her upcoming film, Pieces of April. Here's the rest of the list of her upcoming appearances: (Times ET) +The View +Punk'd +Wonder Boys +Vogue Vashion Superstars +Saturday Night Live +So Graham Norton Notes: Punk'd will be repeated often of course, but I can't really tell you the times the episode w/Katie will be on again as they don't list which episodes are being repeated. The SNL and Graham Norton appearances are repeats. http://www.katieholmespictures.com/tv.shtml Thanks to Joanne for sending in this Katie mention from a RDJ interview that ran in this past Sunday's Mirror Celeb Q. Er, right. What was it like working with Katie Holmes again ? RDJ: She was something else when we did Wonder Boys together. On The Q. Has she changed much ? RDJ: News break: Katie Holmes is officially not a new actress any more. Q. Did you draw on personal experience for the role ? RDJ: Sure, although I've never had a nurse looked like Katie...Of course I |
