Thanks much to Liana for transcribing Katie's appearance on Entertainers with Byron Allen:

BA: Katie. How are you doing? (shakes her hand)
KH: I'm good, How are you?
BA: It's good to see you.
KH: Thank you, it's good to see you.
BA: Now you're orginally from Toledo, Ohio.
KH: Mmm hmm
BA: Is that were you were raised?
KH: Mmm hmm
BA: Now when you left Toledo, were did you go.
KH: I went to Wilmington, North Carolina
BA: Alright, Wilmington. Don't they have the Azalea festival there.
KH: Yes they do.
BA: Yeah, I went there I went to Wilmington for the Azalea Festival, and I was like what are we doing we are having a parade and festival
KH: Yeah, it's so hot. Yes
BA: Let's celebrate Azalea's ladies and gentlemen. And from Wilmington you were shooting a show there. That is what you were doing.
KH: Mmm hmm. So I just recently moved to L.A.
BA: Okay, Now that you're done with the show
KH: Mmm hmm
BA: You miss doing T.V.?
KH: I do, I miss everyone involved and I miss the schedule and the structure of it. But I am enjoying a little bit of freedom. More free time.
Cut to POA clip
BA: I have to say I enjoyed this movie, and I didn't know what to expect, with Pieces of April and I really had a good time.
KH: I'm glad.
BA: It's seems like a labor of love for you.
KH:Yes it certainly was, you know I read the script about a year before we went into production and I was a fan of Peter's already and umm I was so moved by his script. I then met with him and realized where this movie came from and that in fact it was so personal to him and you know his mother passed away and he took his feelings from that and this movie was kind of his homage back to his mother and it's like "Oh my God" could I be part of this, and so from the get go it was just this wonderful project that was so meaningful to him so everyone involved just kind of fell in love with that and it did become a labor of love, but really this project that everyone was greatful for and just wanted to be a part of. Therefore the energy on the set was one that was a unified force there was no selfishness and it was just really was wanting to have a great movie and a very good portrayal of this particular story and instead of wanting to have a good performance
BA: You just wanted to tell the story
KH: Yeah
Cut to clip of POA
BA: He told me, I talked to the director he said he orginally had it set up twice as a 7 million dollar movie and he ended up doing on HD video for under 500 grand and the fact that you stayed on board is a testament in it self.
KH: Peter and I talked about so much in the course of that year about this movie and going through casting and I was so connected to this movie it was hard because it kept falling apart and I was like is this movie even going to be made and it finally came together and I was excited to work with a digital camera and really try to see the difference and umm I really liked the fast pace and you know I'm use to the television pace so I like to prepare and do it.
BA: So when you're not working what are you doing with yourself?
KH: Umm, just reading scripts and watching movies and just figuring out everything.
BA: Right, and when you're reading scripts and looking for that next project, What are you looking for?
KH: Something truthful, something maybe comedic, umm with a good director and good cast. You know the ideal situation.
BA: There you go. (laughs)
KH: (laughs) You know that has guarantee of being successful. (with a smile on her face)
BA: Good work.
KH: Thank you.
BA: Alright, good to catch up with you again. (shakes her hand)
KH: You too. Nice to see you.
