Thanks to Mandy and Ang for helping me with this :) From Variety HOLLYWOOD (Variety) - Katie Holmes, a mainstay on the WB's popular teen soap
``Dawson's Creek,'' is in final negotiations to star in the psychological
horror picture ``Abandoned.'' Ed Zwick (``The Siege'') is on board to direct
the Paramount Pictures project. Holmes will play a university undergrad who
is troubled by visions and glimpses of her ex-lover, who suddenly vanished
during her freshman year -- as well as by implications that she may have had
something to do with another, similar disappearance. ``It's a great movie and
a great genre,'' said Zwick, ''and it's one that I'm glad I've finally found
the opportunity to explore.'' Holmes co-starred in Curtis Hanson's ``Wonder
Boys,'' which Paramount is re-releasing Nov. 8 in select cities in a bid for
Oscar consideration. Other Holmes bigscreen credits include ``Go,''
``Teaching Mrs. Tingle'' and Paramount's December relea! se ``The Gift.''
