Thanks mucho to Sara for sending us this scan from People (August 18th, Ben Affleck on cover)
Blurb w/pic said: " TAILOR MADE- In the upcoming movie First Daughter, Katie Holmes glams it up at the Inaugural balls for her dad, the Prez.Vera Wang happily agreed to design four fab gowns for her outings, but there was a wrinkle: Though Holme's character was scripted to visit a Wang boutique in D.C., the designer doesn't have an outpost there. Happy ending- the crew built a fake in Georgetown in one day, and Vera Wang was played by... Vera Wang. " It was a hug stretch," she jokes..." (*sidenote..does that mean they were filming in DC?) It seems that Extra had a piece on "POA" (sorry..it didn't air here w/blackout coverage and all) Kathie: Just popping in to say that Extra showed a sneak peek of POA today. It included a lot of scenes of Katie's character "attempting" (key word) to cook Thanksgiving dinner. Pretty funny. G-Funk: For those of you who have taken a class called advanced capping and video making, the Pieces of April preview on Extra comes in around midway through the show. There are a lot of scenes I haven't seen and it looks like an incredibly funny movie and a role 180 degrees away from anything we've seen Katie do before FYI, I believe Extra is repeated in many markets, so check your listings..it might be airing again Sunday night/Monday morning.. ------------------------------ From the article We Won't Miss Summer in NY Newsday: And "Pieces of April," another Sundance movie, is an unheavy, untaxing, unblinkered Thanksgiving story starring two totally different but very effective actresses, Clarkson and Katie Holmes |
