As most of you know, there was another First Daughter project starring Mandy Moore, which gave up it's share of the "First Daughter" title, and is now going by "Untitled Mandy Moore First Daughter Project." Katie's "First Daughter" movie has a release date of January 9th, while Mandy's project was also scheduled for an early 2004 release date. Well, they have announced a release date for Mandy's movie, and well..here is how they describe it at Greg's Preview: --------- Release Date Note: (6/23/03) It's so much fun watching studios pace around each other, like the start of a catfight! After Fox claimed such an early January date, Warner Bros. has one-upped Fox in return, placing their movie on the *7th* of January, just two days before this movie. If things go well in production, I suspect Fox's counter move will be to take a November or December date, possibly at the last possible moment (to catch WB unaware... unless, of course, someone there reads this :). --------- On a side note, congrats to Nike who got a chance to see Katie filming First Daughter on the UCLA campus yesterday :D I hope others will try to catch a peek, and please let us know if you saw Katie, etc. so we can share with everyone :) |
