Thanks to "jalabala" for posting this on the mb :)Anyway I saw Katie Holmes and one of her costars, Charlie Hunnam on April 27th. I go to McGill and there had been lots of excitement because various people had seen Ben Affleck (in Montreal for another movie), Benjamin Bratt, and Katie Holmes (my neighbor in residence saw her shopping downtown). And then of course the actors' trailers had been parked across from our residence for a day or so before the 27th.
On that Friday around 2:00am a friend of mine called me up and said that her friend has just passed Katie on the street heading to the set. So we went out there and found them shooting a scene up by our physics building. They had put fake snow on the ground and created a small pond where Katie and Charlie Hunnam were skating around. The crew had roped off the area, so no one was close enough to hear the dialog between the two so I have no idea where it fits into the movie. Anyway that evening it really reeeeally unnaturally frigid and Katie looked exhausted and cold. Also, it didnt help that drunk people heading home from their night out stopped by and were kinda loud and obnoxious. They repeated that scene for an hour or so. According to one of the crew members we talked to, they were behind schedule and were trying to get as much of the night scenes done as possible before the sun rose around 6:00am. It looked like it was going to be a long night for them.
We ended up going back home, but went back out around 5 just in time to see Katie escorted back to her trailer by her bodyguard. A few minutes later we passed Charlie and got his bodyguard to take a picture of us with him. He was really sweet, especially considering that the girl we were with was really drunk and kept shouting "Katie where are you?? I love you Katie!!!!"..hahha.. anyway, word from my friends staying to take summer classes has it that they were seen filming again last week...
Can't wait to see this movie!
