LOL..I'm still confused about this piece from the last update: The WB negotiated a one-year extension with Columbia TriStar TV that keeps "Dawson's Creek" on the network through the 2002-2003 season. Wouldn't next season be the 2001-2002 season?? Does this mean that they were picked up for 2 more seasons?? **confused** Anyway, here's another Abandon casting update: From Excite News Showbiz people briefs ... Young thesp Will McCormack, who co-stars in August in the Warner Bros. Western "American Outlaws," has nabbed a part in the Paramount thriller "Abandon." Pic, lensing in Montreal, stars Katie Holmes and Benjamin Bratt and is being helmed by "Traffic" scribe Stephen Gaghan. McCormack, who has also popped up on multiple episodes of "The Sopranos" as Dr. Melfi's son, Jason, will play one of Holmes' college comrades. I got this email from a fan who saw Katie in Montreal: I was eating sushi at a place called Kaizen Tree House on St. Catherine downtown, Montreal (9:30pm). I asked to be seated with my friends in a booth and as I walked up I noticed her right next to me...okay it was one booth over but still pretty close. She looks exactly the same from TV, jeans and a black blouse. I didn't really look over much, after all the poor girl was in the middle eating, but I did notice that she was seated across from the writer of Traffic. I was tempted to say hello but I figured she gets inundated with that sort of stuff so I opted to pass on the opportunity. Seems like a nice girl, cute as hell too!
