Thanks much to PunkRockerChick for her report from the "Abandon" set :)Hey Everyone. I was an extra today on Abandon. First off, Katie is even more beautiful in person (if that's even possible )
Anyways, it was a long day and I congratulate Katie on her patience. Filming drains the hell out of you.
It was filmed at McGill, and the cafeteria was recreated as a Harvard cafeteria. There were rehearsals, which lasted about an hour and then we started filming. Katie looked amazing. She was wearing a long sleeved purple knit shirt, jeans and flat ballet style shoes. Her hair was straight as it normally is, and she hardly had any makeup on. She seemed tired (she rested her head on the table during some of the short breaks) and really got along with Stephan Gaghan (he is SO nice!) and another guy (I don't remember his name. He has brown shaggy-ish hair and was wearing thick framed glasses. Katie even tried them on! It was so cute!)
Amazingly enough, I was standing four feet away from her almost the whole time. My job was to pass by her table where she and her other co-stars were sitting at with food, looking for a table to sit at. I really hope I'm in the final cut (I'll be the one with the black hair, and a blue bag on my back covered with patches.) There's also a character named Katie, but I'm not sure if it's played by her (I wasn't able to catch it)
Overall, it was a great experience. Katie passed by my friends and I during a quick break, I smiled and she smiled back. She seems like such a nice person, and hopefully I'll be an extra again before filming wraps.
