Our friend Deputy Doug has more info on the Video/DVD release of The Gift: The Gift Region 1 DVD has been announced for a July 17 release date. This is the usual Paramount treatment, high price/no extras. Well, actually there are a couple of small scraps - cast and crew interviews and the "Furnace Room Lullaby" music video by Neko Case & Her Boyfriend. That's all that's been reported. Retail is $29.95. Paramount rocks. For more info, click here On a side note, the Paramount Pictures site reports the following: The Paramount Classics film, "The Gift" received four Saturn nominations from the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror: best actress (Cate Blanchett), best supporting actor (Giovanni Ribisi), best supporting actress (Hillary Swank) and writing. Belated congratulations to Michael Chabon for winning the Pulitzer Prize for his book "The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay." Chabon, as you may know, is the author of "Wonder Boys."
