Tales of A-List Abandon: The Parties, the Penguins and the Pissed ~ By Marc Malkin For all I know, there are some Golden Globes parties still going on. I woke up this morning to even more emails and phone calls about who was doing what into the wee hours. Prince, who picked up a Globe for his Happy Feet tune "The Song of the Heart," held a VIP party in the penthouse at the Beverly Wilshire hotel in Beverly Hills Lindsay Lohan, I'm told, was stumbling around with a big smile on her face. One partygoer spotted her grabbing onto a stranger and whining, "Can you help me find my friends? I can't find my friends." The friends? Her new buddies Drew Barrymore and Cameron Diaz. Diaz, I'm told, appeared rather upset. "Cameron seemed pissed," one partygoer reports. "She had her dress hiked up and was just storming around. She looked angry." Perhaps this had something to do with her ex, Mr. Justin Timberlake, being on the other side of the room. My spies didn't see J.T. and Diaz chat at the Prince party, but another source reports they did talk earlier in the evening at the InStyle and Warner Bros. soiree. Diaz appeared to cheer up when she and Barrymore danced quite closely with a mystery man, a partygoer says. Prince entertained the crowd of about 150 people by playing guitar with a salsa band. Among the goodies being served were bite-size marzipan penguins. Jennifer Lopez was well prepared for the unusually frigid L.A. weather. A source says, "She was wearing the longest fur I have ever seen." Who else was there? Um, let's see: Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes, Victoria Beckham, Penélope Cruz, Salma Hayek, Demi Moore, Ashton Kutcher, Bruce Willis, Jamie Foxx, Sean Combs, Leonardo DiCaprio, Djimon Hounsou, Orlando Bloom, Cuba Gooding Jr., Chris Rock, Sienna Miller, Marc Anthony, Will.I.Am, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Peter Sarsgaard, Ludacris, Jessica Biel, James Franco, Sacha Baron Cohen, Fiona Apple, Ali Larter and Josh Hartnett. Not a bad turnout, huh? Before hitting the Prince shindig, many of these boldface names were at the CAA's lavish affair at Jeff Klein's Sunset Tower Hotel. One reveler said Cruise held court in one of the two tents erected for the soiree, while his ex, Nicole Kidman, did the same in the other. In the Tom tent? Holmes, Victoria Beckham, Leah Remini, and Lopez and Anthony. In the Nicole tent were Naomi Watts, George Clooney, Renée Zellweger and Timberlake. People magazine just reported Kidman's hubby, Keith Urban, was there, too. Others spotted at the CAA included Leonardo DiCaprio and Eva Longoria. Kutcher was seen wandering around a lot with two drinks in his hands. "I keep losing my wife," he said, according to one reveler. "Has anyone seen my wife?" No word on when he finally found her, but I'm told Ms. Moore spent most of her time in the Nicole tent. |
