The movie star went to the 3 on the Bund with his fiancée Katie Holmes last night (11/22/05) to take in some of Shanghai's night scene. The pair quietly left the Four Seasons Hotel about 7:30pm under the protection of bodyguards. They dodged waiting media and drove off in a white sedan, the Oriental Morning Post said today. They had a French dinner on the top floor of the 3 on the Bund, the newspaper said. Monday night (11/21/05), Cruise also took his fiancée to tour the Chenghuang Temple, a resort featuring old-style architecture. The Hollywood actor, in China for the first time, is very fond of Sichuan food, the Post said. The night (11/20/05) he arrived in the city, Cruise went to a restaurant on Yan'an Road offering Sichuan dishes. His menu reportedly cost more than 5,000 yuan (US$618). Cruise is in China to film scenes for his new movie, "Mission Impossible III," which is scheduled to air in May.
