Reps for the Jersey-raised dude otherwise known as Thomas Cruise Mapother IV tell me he is not getting married
any second now--as my media colleagues seem to have been reporting every damn Friday night now (for what, a
month now?).
"Yes, he'll be getting married every Friday night until he gets married," sasses Tom's new glib press repper (the
one who replaced the decidedly more gabby Lee Anne DeVette, sis to Tom). Obviously, last weekend the third
installment of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Cruise did not materialize. But New Camp Tom insists the wedding "will happen,"
just not immediately.
I wonder if that's why marriage-minded Katie Holmes was so glum back at the Ritz-Carlton in San Francisco the
weekend prior?
If you saw my report on E! News, you know another theory of mine for K.H.'s glumness may have been the fact
that Tom walked both into and out of the posh eatery in first position. Following him were his kids, Will and Jada
Pinkett Smith, then Katie. Both times. Tacky, tacky, Tom! Where are your courting manners?
Perhaps the Cruiser's mind is on real estate. Not only do I hear through expensive-nabe looky-loos that T.C.'s
currently refurbishing a Toledo manse for him and the hometown wife, but he's also building an even bigger
spread (next door to NBA player Matt Geiger's house) down in Clearwater, Florida. So say erecting insiders.
New Camp Tom said it has "no knowledge" of Mr. Cruise's real-estate holdings.
Then I gun for the really important dish: "What's Tom going to wear for his third walk down the aisle?" I press, all
Barbara Walters like.
"I don't know," sniffs Camp T.
Jeez, gimme gabby Lee Anne any day!

She's not yet a mother, but Katie Holmes is already a dedicated soccer mom. The pregnant actress, with fiancé Tom Cruise
nowhere in sight, watched his daughter Isabella, 12, play in a soccer game Saturday in Los Angeles. Holmes sat next to Cruise's
son Connor, 10, who videotaped the action and traded high-fives with his stepmom-to-be.
