Pregnant Katie 'Rocks' Out!
One glowing KATIE HOLMES made her first public pregnant appearance Wednesday night, as the future Mrs. Cruise
attended the Rock & Republic fashion show in L.A.
Katie came as a guest of former "SPICE GIRL" VICTORIA BECKHAM's, and along with PARIS HILTON, JESSE
METCALF and MENA SUVARI, checked out the hip denim line's 2006 spring designs as part of L.A.'s Fashion Week.
JANN CARL visited with the happy mom-to-be, who was sporting cute maternity jeans and one big smile. Katie told
Jann that she feels great and has not had one bit of morning sickness.
Katie and TOM CRUISE confirmed the baby news on October 5. The inseparable twosome began dating last April.

the hottest bridal fashions that KATIE, MARCIA, NICOLE RICHIE and more could be wearing!
She's spilling her secrets to Kimora Lee on what mom-to-be Katie Holmes could be wearing if she chooses to wed
in the next few months.
"I can imagine her in this little empire dress and this gives her room to breathe and it's not gonna show," Reem
says. "The whole idea to make somebody look fabulous, slim, trendy and it looks like a wedding dress at the same
time."

Fashion victim: Katie Holmes
It's hard to separate Katie Holmes from her Dawson's Creek character, Joey Potter. In the teen-angst series in
which she shot to fame she was the girl we would all like to have been. She was beautiful in a charming, girl-
next-door way - quick-witted, and adored by every male character in the show. She wore preppy all-American
clothes such as slouchy jeans, stripy tops, sweat-shirts and trainers. How things have changed.
Now, she is more likely to be seen wearing designer gowns while standing hand in hand on a red carpet with her
fiancé, Tom Cruise. Their whirlwind romance (they met at the end of April, he proposed in June and now they
are expecting a child) may be the object of cynical gossip but her fashion sense is self-assured and a world away
from those down-at-heel looks of her alter ego.
Before meeting Cruise, her own dress sense wasn't so far removed from her Dawson's Creek wardrobe –
snapped off-duty, shopping or hanging out with her then boyfriend, Chris Klein, Katie wore the jeans, chunky
sweaters, blazers and T-shirts that most girls of her age would wear. Since emerging as the prospective Mrs
Cruise, however, she has raised her fashion game. These days she sits on the front row of fashion shows such
as Calvin Klein's, wearing sleek silk dresses, and attends glitzy parties looking polished and glowing.
She can also look sophisticated. While promoting her film Batman Begins in Paris this summer, she paired an
Yves Saint Laurent polka-dot wide belt (this season's must-have) with a crisp white shirt and neat navy blue
skirt, showing all the restraint and elegance of a former Mrs Cruise, Nicole Kidman. But she can play the sexy
ingénue, too. For the UK premiere of Cruise's blockbuster movie War of the Worlds, she wore Chloé's midnight-
blue chiffon spaghetti strap dress with vampy court shoes and tousled curls.
Holmes deals stylishly with her new bump. When she appeared in public last weekend, looking very much a
mother-to-be, she wore a roomy, steely blue satin top and slouchy stone cardigan.
There have even been rumours that she may design her own wedding dress and if her subdued elegance is
anything to go by she will no doubt wait until she can tie the knot without her bump.
