Katie didn’t attend the opening night screening of ”Thank You For Smoking” at TIFF yesterday. :( ET will be reporting from the MI:3 set on Monday. Hopefully we’ll see some Katie footage. Here’s a preview: Mission: Matrimony! On the 'M:I-3' Set with Tom Cruise It's a 'Mission: Impossible 3' exclusive -- should you choose to accept it! ET's own JANN CARL is exclusively on the set of the new installment of the blockbuster TOM CRUISE franchise, and the Top Gun is spilling the goods on a few good details -- including his upcoming wedding with KATIE HOLMES! "We don't have a date yet," Tom tells Jann with a laugh, "[But we have] big, big plans. We talk about it. I really didn't know that there were so many wedding magazines. I said, 'Are you kidding me? There are things for the flowers, the cake, the dresses' ... The thing that I love about Kate is that she's an artist, so she actually loves ribbons and she makes cards and creates art. She loves flowers, and she'll do her own floral arrangements. So it's going to be a lot of fun. It's going to be a celebration." Does it get any more top secret than that? "We can't even tell you where you are," Tom jokes with Jann about the set of the new movie, where Katie frequently visits. "You were blindfolded and brought here. Right guys?" The action/adventure, whose plot is being kept under tight wraps, is being directed by "Alias" and "Lost" mastermind J.J. ABRAMS and also stars KERI RUSSELL, JONATHAN RHYS-MEYERS, LAURENCE FISHBURNE, PHILIP SEYMOUR HOFFMAN and, of course, the returning VING RHAMES. In today's action scene, Tom must leap over a hole in the bridge that he's running across and, of course, he's doing his own stunt. "Before you do a stunt, everyone's tension is going," he explains. "You prepare and you prepare, and even if things go wrong, you prepare so that it won't go that wrong. But I do feel the adrenaline!" In fact, Tom's boundless energy doesn't always let up by the time the day's over! "There's moments when that adrenaline is running before I go to bed," he reveals. He also says that his fiancée gives his stunt work her blessing. "What does she say, be careful?" thinks Tom. "She trusts me. She knows. She loves me." "I'm sorry," Jann interjects, "but if Tom Cruise is your fiancé, soon to be your husband, you're just going to have to go with him hanging off of bridges and jumping off of cliffs!" "That's why I am marrying her, because she has no worries about that; none," says Tom with his trademark grin. "She's just fun and easy. She celebrates it. She loves it. Welsh Church once met the Hollywood hunk backstage on US TV's THE TONIGHT SHOW WITH Jay Leno and was bowled over by his sincerity. She says, "He was so genuine. I can't believe that he'd be going out with Katie Holmes if he didn't love her." And Cruise is just as much a fan of the soprano-turned-pop singer. He once admitted that his children listen to her album as they go to sleep.
